Positive Philanthropy
The Positive Equity Charity Drive has become an important part of our culture. Each year we select local and international charities we are keen to support. Everybody is given the opportunity to nominate charities and pledge to the good causes. Positive then matches the pledges.
Our commitment is to improve the lives of those around us. On a daily basis this is through helping our team maximise their professional success. With the Positive Charity Drive we take great pride in supporting the team in changing the lives of those less fortunate outside the organisation
The generosity of the team has been growing year on year. In 2014 we donated just over €20,000 and in 2015 we saw this grow to in excess of €135,000.
This year are delighted to announce that we reached another milestone by donating in excess of €265,000 with a further €100,000 pledged for next year.
Our supported charities are:
Raising for Effective Giving (REG) raises funds for highly cost-effective organizations, and advises donors on how to maximize the good they can achieve with their charitable giving. REG provides consultations for philanthropists, and hold presentations at conferences and events, spreading the idea of effective, evidence-based giving.
Funding anti-malaria nets, ensuring they are used and tracking net use and malaria case data.
Providing any woman and her family on the island of Ireland with professional support services empowering them to overcome issues surrounding pregnancy, homelessness and parenthood.
Being a supportive light through depression in Ireland.
Working to end homelessness in Ireland.
The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust
The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust aims to alleviate the financial hardship of bereaved families repatriating the body (bodies) of loved one(s) who have died abroad in sudden or tragic circumstances back to Ireland.
Connecting people through lending to alleviate poverty.
Creating extraordinary moments for brave children.
